Tough Love

"There's a fine line between loyalty, enablement, concern, and tough love. While most are far from interventions, our intuitions foresee sceneries and scenarios which prompts acts of prevention. Yet those with the infliction are usually oblivious to their position and always misinterpret your intention. Can something still grow if it's cut off from its only source of light? "

There's always someone in your life that needs guidance but is oblivious to it. These people tend to have a distorted sense of self and believe they can do no wrong or there's always a reason or excuse as to what happen other than them simply being wrong or making a mistake. Trying to talk sense and reality to these type of people can be very frustrating and stressful. Therefore, it presents the complexity of helping someone you love when they don’t know and or think they need it versus not showing love, guidance, and support to someone when they needed it the most. When pondering this situation I always come away with the same scripture in thought: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in the evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13: 4-7). If you don't who will?
