Don't Fall For The Carrot Dangles

August 22, 2018

"Advice can be pure in intention or coated in motive.  Therefore, it's beneficial to lobby a third party to see what they’ve noted.  When you know the angles you don’t fall for carrot dangles."

It isn’t wise to follow just any advice that is given to you.  Even in cases where it is someone you may trust, it is still important to bounce those ideas and thoughts up against someone else.  As well intended as it may be, sometimes trusted advice isn’t the best advice.  The more perspectives you have on a particular matter, the more information you have to make an informed decision.  The lack of perspective in these matters can have you making decisions based on the desired outcome of another.  Or you could be making decisions based on the biases of someone else's unique experience. It’s easy to be manipulated when you don’t think for yourself.
