"Pretending to be something your not is displaying who you actually are. For you can't give love if its never been shown and you cant speak the truth if its never been shared. The hardest things to hide are the things that aren't there."
I think the biggest disservices we do to ourselves, and subsequently others, is being dishonest about our emotions and who we really are. We go through life seeing things that we want to attain and figure out ways to get them. However, some achieve what they want by playing the person accustomed to getting those things, while others do the work and self-refining to actually be that person. When someone has experienced an authentic thing, the actor is always exposed.
